The Kareena-Shahid relationship went kaput years ago but that hasnt stopped people from linking the two, even when its unnecessary. As a result, there has been a growing feeling among family and well-wishers of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor that their names keep recurring in connection with Shahid Kapur much too often for it to be a mere coincidence. The couple, shooting a gruelling song sequence in New York , has now begun to wonder why their names, especially Kareenas , should figure so prominently in write-ups and television stories on Shahid. Could the fact that his next release is around the corner have something to do with it A close friend of Saif-Kareena said, Kareena has been quietly watching the tamaasha unfold. Lately, almost every time Shahids name cropped up she too was mentioned , and not in a positive manner. To portray her as the restless woman who jilted Shahid for Saif is so unfair . Only Kareena and Shahid know what really happened to tear them apart. The day Kareena opens her mouth, Shahids image of injured innocence will collapse in a heap. But Kareena is not one to wash dirty linen in public. She wishes Shahid well and would like nothing better than for both of them to move on. Kareena has moved on but the same cannot be said about Shahid. The strangest part, according to the couples friend, is the aggressive attitude the usually calm and restrained Shahid has towards Saif. The source said, Recent reports on Shahid insinuate that he has done better in Vishal Bhardwajs Kaminey than Saif did in the directors Omkara. Where do these comparisons come from Commenting on whether there is a pattern to these recurring references to Saif and Kareena in connection with Shahid, Saif said, Normally, I wouldnt go by any conspiracy theory. But this does seem a little too much. Why are Kareena and I dragged into other peoples lives If someone talks about Kaminey, then Im forced to say the role was first offered to me. But do we have to resort to this silly game of oneupmanship Were all mature adults here and we should behave accordingly. Kareena, who has so far maintained a discreet silence on the topic of Shahids constant fascination with anything to do with her, was aghast when a television channel on Wednesday night did a detailed hour-long report on how Kareena was trying to get Shahids current love Priyanka Chopra out of his life. Barely able to control her annoyance any longer, Kareena said, Why am I being dragged into all this I dont like my name to come up in connection with other peoples lives. Ive moved on and I wish Shahid Kapur would also do so. Beyond that I dont wish to say anything. Nothing can separate Saif and me. Certainly not these silly attempts to drag me back to a past Ive left behind. Please leave us alone. Despite repeated attempts, Shahid remained unavailable for comment. 

 

Kareena Kapoor turns to power yoga   Apr 28, 2009 Saif Ali Khan wants eight-pack abs for his film Agent Vinod with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, but the man who began his training claims the actor does not want to pay for the workout sessions. Personal trainer Satyajit Chaurasia, who has several clients in Bollywood, says he worked with Saif for the past two-and-a-half months but has now been forced to discontinue his services because of unpaid dues running into “seven figures”. A source close to the actor, however, denies any non-payment issues. Satya says, “I had quoted my fees verbally to Dinesh Vijan, co-producer of the film and Saif’s business partner. He was okay with it then. But later, whenever I brought up the matter of payment, he brushed it aside. When I sent the bills to him, he returned them saying that they were too much. I told them that I could not continue this way and walked out.” The trainer adds that Saif never contacted him “to ask what happened”. The source close to the actor tells us, “Satya has had exactly four sessions with Saif. After the very first session, Saif decided to discontinue Satya’s service and he has now joined a training centre called Gold’s Gym in Bandra. He did this due to some personal issues that have nothing to do with money.” There were timing problems with Saif, counters Satya - the star apparently needed a lot of prodding to complete his workouts and demanded more time than the trainer could spare from his clients like Zayed Khan, Rani Mukerjee and Esha Deol. Despite all this, the trainer says he has no hard feelings about Chhote Nawaab. “I will always consider him my friend.”

 

Kareena to play Jessica Lal in Aamir director s film

Aamir director Rajkumar Gupta's next film is based on the sensational Jessica Lal murder and he approached Kareena Kapoor to play one of the two protagonists. But so far he hasn't been able to finalise anyone for the lead roles in No One Killed Jessica. I did approach Kareena Kapoor initially to play one of the two protagonists. But nothing more can be said about the casting right now," Gupta told IANS. Jessica Lal was gunned down in a New Delhi restaurant in April 1999. Manu Sharma, son of a former minister, is serving a life term for killing her. "All I can say at this moment is that the film and its script which I've just completed is inspired by a headline that I saw in the Times Of India in 2006 which said, No One Killed Jessica (when all the accused in the sensational case were acquitted). It immediately set me thinking. Over the years, as the case dragged on, that headline acquired immense ironical overtones," he added No One Killed Jessica will need two leading female performers - one will play Jessica and the other will be cast as her sister Sabrina who fought for justice on Jessica's behalf. The director, whose edgy hard-hitting drama Aamir earned rave reviews in 2007, intends to give the same gritty treatment to his second film as well. Apart from No One Killed Jessica, Gupta had also written the script of recently released Barah Aana. Though Gupta is all for the way first time director Raja Menon had directed his script, he admits he would have filmed the script differently. "I'd have made Barah Aana edgier, more gritty and fast-paced. That's the treatment I had envisaged for the screenplay. "Also, it isn't clear in the film why Naseeruddin Shah's character doesn't speak. He just looks angry. The fact is the character has nothing more to say to the world. This aspect doesn't come across in the film," Gupta said. Gupta also feels that Arjun Mathur is miscast as a Bihari waiter in Barah Aana. "I'd have cast someone like Deepak Dobriyal. But that's neither here nor there. Barah Aana is fine the way it is," he said. Would Gupta write more scripts for other directors? "I don't know. Barah Aana was a commitment from before I directed Aamir. Right now my concentration is on casting for No One Killed Jessica. I just hope I don't end up casting whoever is available. I need two very strong young actresses." 

Bebo in bikini Saif does not mind

Saif Ali Khan Saif Ali Khan is pretty cool if his sassy squeeze Kareena Kapoor slips into bikinis for the camera again. A two-piece outfit can’t cause cracks in Saifeena’s love story. Rumours have been afloat that Saif is upset over Kareena’s skin show in films and that her recent decision to don sarees was a gesture to appease her beau. But according to the sources close to the couple, nothing could be far from truth than that. “Saif is a chilled-out person and he doesn’t impose any of his views on Kareena. Do you think the couple would have come this far if that wasn’t the case?” a source questions rhetorically. And if reports are to go by, Saif doesn’t like interfering in Kareena’s professional decisions either. So what was all that talk of Kareena refusing to bare her skin to the camera because Saif did not approve of it? Says the source: “Kareena did not say she would wear only sarees in films. She said she loves to wear sarees at public functions and awards because it’s her personal choice.” 

Kareena wants Priyanka out of Shahids life

Saif Ali Khan loves Kareena Kapoor but the lady is concerned about Shahid Kapur! Well, don't get us wrong. The latest scoop is that Bebo is not very happy with the new girl in ex beau Shahid Kapur's life. Bebo wants Priyanka Chopra out of Shahid's life as soon as possible. Here's the inside story. Bebo is hopelessly in love with Saif but her thoughts remain with Shahid, if some of Kareena's good friends are to be believed. "She feels very protective of Shahid. They have been in touch and she wants good things to happen to him. She just feels Priyanka isn't the right one for him and the sooner he realises it, the better it is for him," says a source. Priyanka and Kareena have never been the best of friends. From on-screen rivalries to mutual competition, Priyanka has never been in Kareena's good books. And what has added insult to injury is that Priyanka is now dating Bebo's ex. In an interview to Stardust magazine, Kareena's friends claim that Bebo's interest in Priyanka and Shahid is mere goodwill. "It's not that she is jealous of Shahid and Priyanka. Kareena is well over Shahid and she just wants the best for him. It's bothering her because she believes Priyanka is just not the right girl for him." Friends also say that Kareena never had a problem when Shahid was linked with other women. "In fact, when they bumped into each other once, Kareena had teased Shahid about the many women in his life." But with Priyanka, Kareena feels differently and she wants her out of Shahid's life as soon as possible. "What upsets Kareena is that Priyanka is not acknowledging her relationship with Shahid. Shahid doesn't mind going public but Priyanka doesn't want to. By doing this, Kareena feels Priyanka is demeaning Shahid. She doesn't want Shahid to go through what happened with Hurman." She fears that Priyanka Chopra might dump Shahid as she has thrown Harman Baweja after the debacle of ‘Love Story 2050’. Ever since Kareena Kapoor broke up with Shahid Kapoor, she is in touch with him and very concern about his well-being; she wanted the best for him. The report of Shahid Kapoor dating Priyanka Chopra disturbed Bebo and she ardently wants Piggy Chops out of Shahid’s life.
