Saif Ali Khan Kareena Kapoor Ready to Rock in Race 2

MUMBAI: When news about directors Abbas Mustan not doing the sequel to their 2008 blockbuster Race started doing the rounds, many eyebrows were raised. Apparently, the producer, Tips and the usually-affable director duo had certain issues to be resolved, which resulted in Tips searching for another director. When Saif got to know about producer Ramesh Taurani’s decision, he quickly sprung into action. When he made Taurani understand that the director duo’s track record of churning out hits with thrillers (Khiladi, Baazigar, Ajnabee) was good enough reason for them to direct Race 2, the producer relented. Confirming the news, Saif says, “Abbas-Mustan understand the pulse of the plot. Race was a fast-paced action-adventure caper. Not too many filmmakers in Bollywood would’ve done such a wonderful job of it.” Apparently, Race 2 will be more gadget and gizmo-friendly and as upwardly-scaled as Dhoom 2. Had the directors in white not been roped in, more than the directors, Saif would feel the pinch. His ladylove Kareena Kapoor co-stars with him in the sequel and Saif wants to ensure that the film is a success. Race had both Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif opposite him. However, in Race 2 Katrina’s character is shown as dead and Bipasha’s has been removed from the script to make way for Kareena. Sharing his enthusiasm about the film and his pairing with his real life sweetheart, Saif says, “Yes Kareena will be part of Race 2. We’re yet to flesh out the details. But Race 2 has to be bigger and larger than Race. Otherwise there is no point in making it.” 

 

Kareena upset with Shahid-Priyanka romance

Kareena Kapoor has left no stone unturned when it comes to declaring her love for Saif, but at the moment, it is ex-beau Shahid Kapur who Kareena is thinking about. According to reports, Kareena is unhappy with the budding romance between Shahid and Priyanka Chopra. Reports claim that Kareena and Shahid have been in touch despite their breakup, and Kareena has always wanted what's best for him, and in her opinion, Priyanka doesn't fall into the category. Kareena and Priyanka were close friends once upon a time, but that was very long ago, and it is almost natural that Kareena should feel annoyed that her ex-best friend is dating her ex-boyfriend. The report further ads that what's bothering Kareena is Priyanka's refusal to publicly admit to the relationship. Kareena fears that Priyanka might silently dump Shahid the way she dumped Harman, and get away with it, because the relationship was never confirmed. The bottomline of this is, as reported by a leading national magazine, that "(Kareena) wants her (Priyanka) out of Shahid's life as soon as possible." OSCAR 2009
 

Karan to make film with Kajol Kareena

Reliable sources say his production house has bought the rights of the Hollywood flick StepMom; that the media already knows will be made with Karan’s two favourite girls — Kajol and Kareena Kapoor. Talk is that the film will not be a copy, but will draw inspiration from the sensitive Susan Sarandon-Julia Roberts flick that left the audience teary eyed. Filmmakers these days want to take no chances. Everyone knows that recently the producers of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button issued a statement in the newspapers warning Bollywood filmmakers against copying their film. The established filmmakers in town definitely don’t want to take any chances. Looks like if producers wish to make a remake of a foreign film hence forth, they will definitely want to acquire the official rights, so that nothing is left to chance.

 

Saif likes his lady love Kareena even in bikinis

There were rumors in the past that Chhote Nawab didn’t like her lady love Kareena Kapoor giving a skin show in her flicks and had insisted that Kareena chose Indian outfits at various public appearances, but now it has come out that just a two-piece outfit can’t cause cracks in Saifeena’s love story. In fact, Saif did not like interfering in Kareena’s professional decisions either. It was only that Kareena loved to wear sarees at public functions and awards because it was her personal choice. Moreover, another source in a media report goes on to allege that Saif was quite supportive of Kareena when she donned the swimwear while shooting for ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ in Los Angeles.
