Saif Kareena enjoy a brief break in New York

The lovers watched a few movies and pampered their taste buds when an unexpected two-day break fell into their lap. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been shooting director Rensil D’Silva’s film Jihad in New York. The duo have been shooting continuously but got a two-day break in their hectic shooting schedule, thanks to co-star Vivek Oberoi . Vivek, who plays a moderate Muslim in the film, reportedly had a lot of solo scenes to shoot. The actor asked the director to shoot them all in a stretch for two days. This left Saif and Kareena with two free days to enjoy the New York life. The duo went out and saw some movies and ate out at their favourite restaurant. Kareena says it was all possible because of Vivek, with whom she first worked in Yuva . Today, Kareena sees Vivek as a friend and calls him “sweet” and “considerate”. Soon, Saif and Kareena will finish the New York schedule of ‘Jihad’ and head for a summer holiday in Italy. Seems like the two lovers can’t have enough of each other.

We have re shot portions of Milenge Milenge Satish Kaushik

The producer of Milenge Milenge is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his film starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur and has been long in the making, appeals to movie buffs. Director Satish Kaushik admits that portions of the film that might have got dated have been even re-shot. "Yes, we have re-shot portions of Milenge Milenge in Delhi. The entire film is set in Delhi, just like my other hit film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai with Kareena. In fact, I was supposed to do another film with Kareena (Dil Chor with Abhishek Bachchan for Boney (Kapoor). Instead we did Milenge Milenge," said Kauhsik. Interestingly it was Kareena who recommended Shahid for the role. Their Jab We Met was a blockbuster. Kareena broke up with Shahid while working on Jab We Met but Kaushik says her personal relationship never interfered with Milenge Milenge, which is being produced by Boney Kapoor. "Both Kareena and Shahid have been complete professionals. If Milenge Milenge has taken so long to be completed, it's not because of the artists. Everything from my personal family problems to the tsunami happened to Milenge Milenge. "One schedule in Bangkok got cancelled at the last minute. Tsunami struck and everyone got washed away in the tides where we were supposed to shoot. If the film could survive the tsunami, what's a bit of negativity about a delayed project? Pakeezah and Mughal-e-Azam were in the making for decades," he said. Milenge Milenge got another jolt when Salman, who was supposed to make a special appearance, opted out because he discovered he couldn't get along with Shahid. Far from putting the project on the backburner, Boney and Kaushik are more determined than ever to release Milenge Milenge this summer. The movie is their version of Peter Chelsom's 2001 romantic comedy Serendipity. The film is about two people involved elsewhere who after a chance encounter decide to give their feeling for one another a chance to grow.

Kareena gets Imtiaz to direct her

Kareena Kapoor has finally got her way... about working with one of her favorite directors Imtiaz Ali. Bebo worked with Ali in Jab We Met but was not chosen for beau Saif's home production Love Aaj Aur Kal directed by the JWM director. However, Kareena will now be shooting with her favourite director for a snack ad. Says a source close to Kareena, "She has been dying to work with Imtiaz again as she feels he brings out the best in her and feels he makes her look very beautiful. JWM will always be Special to Kareena and she was upset when Imtiaz chose Deepika Padukone for Saif's film. So this time when the snack company asked her to shoot another ad for the brand, the actress insisted that Imtiaz direct her; they agreed." The ad will be shot in Punjab. Says the source, "The concept is much like the story of Jab We Met. Bebo will be wearing ethnic salwar-suits and running through the sarson ka khets.Imtiaz and she will shoot the ad today and come back tonight." An excited Kareena told us, "Yes I did ask for Imtiaz to direct me in the ad. Imtiaz and I are Special together. Jab We Met was magical. It's a film I will always cherish as one of my best ones. I can't wait to see Love Aaj Aur Kal on the big screen. The ad I am shooting for is funny, witty and cool something that is Imtiaz's forte. He's one of the best directors in the country today." 

 

Kareena Kapoor Golmaal Returns The First Look

Here is the first look of Golmaal Returns, the sequel to the successful 2006 movie, Golmaal. Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, and Arshad Warsi are all back, though Sharman Joshi is not, being replaced by Shreyas Talpade. Kareena Kapoor, Anjana Sukhani, Amrita Arora and Celina Jaitley also join the cast for the sequel. It is directed by Rohit Shetty, with music by Pritam.

No, Shahid and Kareena are not back together in that way but they are back together for Boney Kapoor's 'Milenge Milenge'. This venture was shot in 2006 when Shahid and Kareena were very much together. However due to some complications, the movie could not be released. Nonetheless, the film complications have all been sorted out but since the the movie was shot a couple of years back, dubbing was necessary. When requested, the duo agreed to dub for the film. Buzz has it that Kareena is done her part meanwhile Shahid has some portions left. This exciting Boney Kapoor venture is expected to hit theatres in the latter half of the year 2009
 
Kareena Kapoor denies turning producer

Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor has dismissed reports that she had turned a producer. "I have no intentions to turn a producer. The rumours are baseless. There is no truth to it," the actor said in a statement on Monday. A source close to Kareena confirmed her statement, adding: "Kareena is committed to several projects and is going to be neck deep in work for another two years. So where is the time to launch her own production house?" Rumours were rife that Kareena was to launch her own production banner with the first film to be a romantic comedy directed by her close friend and director Lovely Singh of Kyaa Love Story Hai fame. Kareena was to play the lead. It also raised speculation that real-life beau Saif Ali Khan would star opposite her in the film. However, the source maintained: "Kareena hails from the RK family and with the prestigious RK banner with her, why would Kareena launch an independent production house?"

Is Amrita Rao behind Shahid Kareena Kapoor split  

Amrita Rao of the 'Vivah' fame is in the thick of controversies again. A Mumbai tabloid recently reported that she was spotted with Shahid Kapur and his family watching a film at a suburban multiplex. Shahid of course has already denied the story as the actor is being dragged into too many what he calls as meaningless controversies. Amrita is shocked too. Says the actress, " It is shocking how people can make up such stories. I was nowhere around. I was celebrating New Year at home with my cousins. After that I had an early morning flight to catch to Delhi for the promotion of My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves.The past few weeks I have been on a roller coaster promoting the film in Ahmedbad, Delhi and all over. I haven't met Shahid for months. The last time I met Shahid was almost two months back when I shot for a promotional campaign for Vivah when it was being shown on television for the first time. After that I left for Jaisalmer for a month long outdoor with Harman Baweja for Victory. As soon as I came back, I've been touring cities for the promotion of My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves. Where is the time for me to go and watch a film in the theatre in all this mad rush? And, that too, with Shahid and his family. It is preposterous. I wish the person who wrote the story got his facts right. Where was I spotted? I really want to know." Not very good for the media.She is also upset that her name is being linked with her Vivah co-star Shahid. " Shahid and Kareena's spilt came as a shock to me. I was shooting in Hyderabad for my Telugu film when I heard about their split. After that it was reported that Kareena got upset because I was spotted coming out of Shahid's van. This is baseless rumor mongering. I'd like to remind everyone that it is Kareena herself who has openly praised my performance in Vivah. She has always been more than nice to me, so where is this gossip emanating from?"She continues, " First I had to counter that. Now I'm being spotted in some theatre watching a film with Shahid, when I was never actually present! It is blatant misreporting. Shahid is an extremely dignified and a gentleman to the core. He has always been a wonderful co-star to work with and such baseless stories only make a working relationship uncomfortable. Fortunately for me, Shahid has the grace to laugh these rumors off. But I have to take a stand because it is utterly ridiculous."  

Kareena Kapoor Secret Diet Revealed  

All the stories about Kareena going on a crash diet and crashing on the sets are absolutely false. The top actress' nutritionist and dietician Rujuta Diwekar gives a factual picture of Kareena's diet and eating habits.Rujuta Diwekar say, "Kareena gave me a brief saying that her character requires her to be lean and sexy and she wanted a diet that'd help to lose weight. I knew that Kareena is a pure vegetarian and wondered if she would be able to achieve her target of losing certain kilos by just having a vegetarian diet. Kareena and I met in May 2007 and I have been her dietician since then. But she was never pencil thin so I planned her diet that consisted of healthy nutritious food. And contrary to reports in the media that the actress starved herself and had only orange juice is false. There were also stories that she fainted while doing some scene but it is not true."The dietician further says, "What worried Kareena was that her fans, especially the teenage girls who look upon her as their icon, would blindly follow the false articles to emulate her and the results could harm them in some way or the other. Kareena did not want that to happen and thus this clarification."Kareena has religiously stuck to her diet and is feeling more energetic, healthier and sexy. "She wants her fans to know that she has achieved her super sexy body, over a period of time, by being dedicated and disciplined about her eating and fitness habits, She (Kareena) is massively into a strict exercise regime of yoga which she practices for almost 2 hrs a day," says Rujuta Diwekar.She concludes by saying that " Kareena has been eating 'parathas', momos, cheese, pastas, Bananas, foods which most people perceive as 'fattening food'.
