Lara Dutta is an Indian Film actress and former Miss Universe. Lara Dutta has acted in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. Lara made her debut through the Bollywood movie 'Andaaz' for which she has won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. She was crowned Miss Universe in 2000 which led to her appointment as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador in 2001.

Lara Dutta was born on 16 April 1978 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Her father is retired Wing Commander L.K. Dutta and her mother is Jennifer Dutta. She has two older sisters.
